so what do you miss about your childhood, or did you just get hit by a wave of nostalgia today? Talk talk talk!

I was inspired by Grizz talking about childhood shows. I miss fraggle rock, I loved that one. And My Little Ponies. I chatted with my cousin yesterday about how a lot of kid shows have such adult messages hidden in them that you don't notice if your a kid. Like Rocko's Modern Life.

At Ease Radiohead Board (been there since 1999 over a damn decade and i am the highest poster by so much it is quite sad! ... i grew up on that board!)

Mortigi Temple (another Rhed board! it's kinda crappy so i don't go there much but i've been there off and on also for like 10 years it's insane)

A Little Space (ANOTHER radiohead board! this was an offshoot of the main one... god i feel kinda of like a joop with so many radiohead boards... oh god)

Collected Animals (i was there from the begin in 2005 and watched it turn to shit!)

THIS BOARD (it was all fields! there was also an AC dot net board that started up and it was a battle who would win and that one died and this one grew!)

MEN WITHOUT HATS BOARD (i've been there since 2002! ... it's REALLY dead and a guy from the actual board posts on there... only like 10 regular posters and most all of them are probably in their 40s so it's really strange!)

i also post on a Fetish board where Japanese Girls dress in Monkey Outfits and are in Wheelchairs but now is not the time to get into THAT!

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if you guys had any opinions or stories about animal collective in relation to where you live. I only bring it up because I live in southern California and I haven't found hardly any AC fans besides people who I turn them on to. I think being in high school, a lot of the kids are just jerks about other kids being different, but still its kinda odd that no one I know seems to like them. So in short: what are the people in your area like, and if your also from so-cal, is it just my school or is this something I should come to expect?

The good ol' anco does not talk much about politics ecxept on a basic basis. Songs like screens attacking todays obsession with needing to constantly be entertained by screens, Safer about people dealing with their fear and reverend green lementing the negative affects of city life and many more. But They aren't like Michael Franti making songs like "BARACK OBAMA! WEEEE! BARACK OBAMA! WEE LOVE YOU!!" Or even on john Lennons larger scale of politics shitting on capitalism. So as we are not inclined by the anco to take on political philosophies I'm curious as to what different views we have here. I know it's touchy in some areas. This discussion might turn to the upcomming US election but I'd rather discuess what our idea of an ideal system and world would be. THE MAN MAN!

I don't think aliens come from outer space. I think they come from here, from earth, but from different dimensions. I think they've figured out a way to cross dimensions. I think when we sleep and sometimes when we have very traumatic experiences or do intense psychedelic drugs or achieve states of deep meditation, we can cross those dimensions as well. We just haven't figured out how to move anything beyond our own consciousnesses into the other dimensions ,where they seem to be able to move so called "space craft" around. They're probably smarter than us.
I think sometimes when we dream what we dream about is real, only it's happening in another dimension.
I think aliens used to show up looking like leprechauns, and then looking like fairies, and then they developed the typical alien disguise in recent memory.
I am totally serious! Of course, I'm not doing any justice to the subject by discussing it in this manner but I wondered what other people thought about this.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to get my hands on some fucking gourds and arrange them in a horn-shaped basket on my dining room table. That shit is going to look so seasonal. I’m about to head up to the attic right now to find that wicker fucker, dust it off, and jam it with an insanely ornate assortment of shellacked vegetables. When my guests come over it’s gonna be like, BLAMMO! Check out my shellacked decorative vegetables, assholes. Guess what season it is—fucking fall. There’s a nip in the air and my house is full of mutant fucking squash.

I may even throw some multi-colored leaves into the mix, all haphazard like a crisp October breeze just blew through and fucked that shit up. Then I’m going to get to work on making a beautiful fucking gourd necklace for myself. People are going to be like, “Aren’t those gourds straining your neck?” And I’m just going to thread another gourd onto my necklace without breaking their gaze and quietly reply, “It’s fall, fuckfaces. You’re either ready to reap this freaky-assed harvest or you’re not.”

Carving orange pumpkins sounds like a pretty fitting way to ring in the season. You know what else does? Performing an all-gourd reenactment of an episode of Diff’rent Strokes—specifically the one when Arnold and Dudley experience a disturbing brush with sexual molestation. Well, this shit just got real, didn’t it? Felonies and gourds have one very important commonality: they’re both extremely fucking real. Sorry if that’s upsetting, but I’m not doing you any favors by shielding you from this anymore.

The next thing I’m going to do is carve one of the longer gourds into a perfect replica of the Mayflower as a shout-out to our Pilgrim forefathers. Then I’m going to do lines of blow off its hull with a hooker. Why? Because it’s not summer, it’s not winter, and it’s not spring. Grab a calendar and pull your fucking heads out of your asses; it’s fall, fuckers.

Have you ever been in an Italian deli with salamis hanging from their ceiling? Well then you’re going to fucking love my house. Just look where you’re walking or you’ll get KO’d by the gauntlet of misshapen, zucchini-descendant bastards swinging from above. And when you do, you’re going to hear a very loud, very stereotypical Italian laugh coming from me. Consider yourself warned.

For now, all I plan to do is to throw on a flannel shirt, some tattered overalls, and a floppy fucking hat and stand in the middle of a cornfield for a few days. The first crow that tries to land on me is going to get his avian ass bitch-slapped all the way back to summer.
