Infinity Guitars, Tell 'Em, Rachel, Kids & Treats......this is the Sleigh Bells I fell in love with.
I didn't hear anything even 1/10th on the level of these songs on the new album. -
Comeback Kid was too poppy for my taste... I'm not sure why.

I didn't like Sleigh Bells at all so... yeah. (just my opinion!)
I just think that music is not my style, the only time it would be good me is when a baseball player is going up to bat from the on deck circle and they play Tell 'em. -
It sounds almost too poppy for me. Like gummy bears farting.

Calvin and I love pop music, hope this doesn't hurt our odds of survival around here.

I listen to pop music sometimes, that's why I find it odd that I thought their new stuff was too poppy...

i don't think poppy is the right word. that's not the reason i didn't like it. again, i need to give it more listens, but their first album had a healthy mix between transcendence and anthemic

Yeah I think you're right, but I can't think of another way of saying it. It's just... all hook and no substance.

We all have opinions Dearest, and this site makes sure that everyone WILL respect everyone else's opinions. You can listen to whatever you want, even if it is pop music, I don't care either way.
We must noy turn into CA, for that is what we are against, but that is the site itself, not necessarily the people on there (i.e. Calvin, Dearest, etc.). -

oh and i FINALLY glistened to the SLAY! Belles (of the balls!)
and man!
it's probably overall more consistent than treats!
but i can't say a better album
because the 3 or 4 "hit" songs from treats were SO GOOD
and while some on here are really great none reach quite the impact / height of CROWN ON THE GROUND or INFINITE GEETARS!!! .... ring ring!

Got my copy of it yesterday. I'd say it's on par with Treats. Never Say Die, Demons, and You Lost Me are are probably my faves off of it.
