This is one of the best hip-hop tracks I've heard in a while - what do you guys think of him (besides wanting to kill him G.O. :P ) -

we now have DOOM and THIS GUY and i worry next will be KANYE and AZELIA BANKS (wait she's not rap what is she?_ maybe she is) and then we had DIE ANT WORD (which is "hip hop" / rap but yet not really / so much more!)
i did hear something by this guy and i honestly don't get it

all the same complaints i have about 99% of the rap i've heard
i really don't get it!
why people like it so much!

The same reason we don't have an all purpose folk thread? I didn't like hip-hop at first, maybe you just need to find someone you like first - A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots? If you like jazz, then Golden Age hip-hop is what you need, some Digable Planets, yeah.

MBDTF (!) i actually really enjoyed!
mainly Runaway / POWER / Lost in the World!
but some of the other tracks / moments too!
it kinda changed my view that i maybe COULD enjoy hip hop / rap crap
but it had to do some REALLY groovy things and not be all thuggish and just straight up type dealies... and one could still question the value of when some of the best moments are just guest people / sampled stuff!

What I really don't like is people rapping over other people's songs. Frank Ocean did it over Electric Feel by MGMT and it was not so good. Although he was singing R+B style not rapping.
That was a very good album. You've listened to The Weeknd, right? I think they are really groovy. -
