I met this band when my friend booked my band to play with them. They're a folk punk band from Tuscon, AZ. Not until after that show did I really sit down and listen to their music and I found myself crying out of nowhere. They are amazing. The singer, Pat the Bunny, was in a couple other bands and is fairly famous I guess...he formed this band after getting over a heroin addiction. Even if you've never struggled with anything like that, (or you're not an anarchist) I think you'll probably find something to relate to on this album. I recommend listening to the whole thing, but if you're just in the mood for one song, listen to Your Heart is a Muscle the Size of Your Fist. Seriously.
I listened to about half the album and Your Heart is a Muscle the Size of Your Fist. I dunno, it reminds be of a lot of music I've listened to: Bright Eyes, Half-Handed Cloud, The Polyphonic Spree, etc. I feel like I'm missing something while listening to this music.
I didn't have time for the whole thing but Your Heart is a Muscle the Size of Your Fist was pretty good in my opinion. I agree that sometimes I don't like the genre too much but I can definetly see why one would love this band.
