chatroulette.com

WARNING; you young children should not go there, there are pensies everywhere!!!! and random disturbing images, and people asking to see your tits often! i've met some interesting people though, and to stop this chatroulette chatter from wandering onto another board (The Crack Box one), I made this thread. It can also be a scary place, overwhelmingly scary. Who else has a webcam? We should have a giant webcam board meeting. Like what business people do. We are in the Animal Collective business here, after all.

• haha chatroulette... last week we put the webcam on my cat licking up some tuna water off the floor... and narrated "nom nom nom" sounds from offscreen. one guy watched for about 10 minutes. AC BOARD MEETING: COMMENCE.
• that's amazing. If I had found that, I would've watched it for ten minutes too. Seriously. I only end up stopping to talk to people if they a. have a cat, b. have no video, c. look interesting. anyone that I find attractive I immediately next because I can't bring myself to talk to them. Except for that AC guy......
• YOU FOUND ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE!? *bows at feet*
• I had one wonderfully handsome french (okay, he was a teenager) play and sing Jimi Hendrix songs and Stairway to Heaven for me on his guitar. I have some pretty good luck on that place. Or I used to. I haven't in the past few days.
• oh god, /b/ is on there, trolling it so much. I have seen too much messed up stuff there. I need to get out more.
•
WARNING; you young children should not go there, .
I mean that for you in particular Grizz! You're our kid, that place is too...dickfilled! Someone your age shouldn't see that many disturbing things in one day. I'm thinking about quitting this place, its either guys that tell me how good looking I am, bad conversation, or disturbing images.
• I am very disensitized to genetalia. Probably due to being on 4chan, where I should not be on because I'm underaged b&. But I digress. I've only been on chatroulette once, and I didn't see any penis. But I've seen some of the .gif's they use and hooboy. Those are bad.
• for sure. and goatse. I was hoping i'd never see it agian, and there it is twice on chatroulette. I've never been on 4chan, but i've heard its a gross place. I'm too not interested/frightened to check it out. once, on chatroulette, someone had their webcam off, and then they turned it on, and were a clothed man, then they ripped their pants off (they were those gym pants with snaps down the sides), and immediately started masterbating. I don't think it was a .gif. It might've been, it would make sense that it was, I guess.
• 4chan is most definitely gross. Leave your morals at the door if you go there. It's the only place that could strip you down so much that you think gore is funny. I'm not at that point yet, it still grosses me out, but I'm getting there. It scares me that I'm changing so much from being on there, but it's kind of like an experiment with myself, I guess. I've see the "n" word so many times on there that it doesn't bother me to see it anymore, which would be a good thing, because it doesn't mean "black person" to me anymore. It means "stupid person" to me now. Weird that it doesn't bother me even though I'm half black.... ahh the powers of suggestion. But because 4chan is 100% anonymous, it can also be a good thing. People on the site used a .gif of a young girl to lure in a pretator, get his email and from there find out everything about him down to his social security number. Turns out he was a pastor, and he was soliciting young girls on the internet. They sent emails to his wife explaining everything, with screen caps of the whole thing. He was taken to court because an anonymous. So 4chan is kind of a 2 way street of chaotic good and chaotic evil.
• that's incredibly interesting. I'm glad some good has come of it. i'm entirely unsure if its a good thing to lose your concern or discomfort over those things though. I've officially left chatroulette (for now) due to my nondiscomfort towards seeing penises and gross imagery. I don't like being desensitized like that. Also, I stopped being annoyed by the people that wanted to see titties all the time. I guess it isn't nearly as extreme as 4chan, which I plan on staying far, far away from.
• There are places for other things on 4chan too, though. Like /x/, which is the paranormal forum. Lots of creepy original stories and pictures and what not. Also, I urge you to check out the Marble Hornets (search it on youtube). It's a really good web series about this meme called Slender Man (google him if you wish), which is 100% fabricated but still really creepy and awesome. There's also forums for comic books, tv shows, music, pretty much everything. The only one I would stay away from is /b/, the random forum, if you want to keep your sanity. It's like I'm addicted to it now. I love it, I can't help it, because some of the threads can be really, really funny in their own twisted way. For example, yesterday somebody posted a topic on subtle racism, which said something along the lines of "When ever a black person is at my till, I punch in the wrong piece of fruit so they pay more than white people." The only comments he got were how he was a loser because he worked at a grocery store. I lol'd.
• When I have some free time (later tonight) i'll check that out. That story made me smile, it was pretty awesome, even though i'm not for racism at all. That would be something that I would like to apply to someone that I didn't like because of their attitude, not their skin color. A great subtle asshole idea. I used to be super into webcomics but have fallen behind. As for forums, maybe some others would be worth checking out, but I never can really stick to one for long, besides this place.
• beware of /b/.
• It was really funny. Racism isn't cool at all, though. And I used to be really into cyanide and happiness but I stopped checking it. Now I'm more into the Oatmeal.
• I got pretty desensitized to autopsy and crime scene photos and Faces of Death/snuff films when I was in my mid-to late teens. Then I got desensitized to really raw nasty sex stuff in my late teens/early twenties. I was worried that I had screwed my brain up, or my moral compass, or done some kind of irreversible damage: I mean, I was very seriously into looking at hardcore human depravity. Yes, it existed even way back when I was a kid. Back when there wasn't the internet, even! But the important stuff didn't get desensitized. I can look at a gnarly decapitation photo/video and not flinch but a real dead person on the street (or a dead dog) affects me. I worried that I would be numb forever, but I'm not.
• I agree. Real death, seeing it in front of me, really bothers me, but I can watch .gif of somebody getting shot in the head and it doesn't really bother me all that much.
• that's brutal guys. any kind of death bothers/disturbs me.
• Now that I re-read it it kinda sounds messed up... But it's true. I can't say that horror movies scare me anymore, but I can say that the fake stuff is pretty realistic...
• I get grossed out even when I'm helping film a horror movie. Even after watching the whole thing being set up, makeup, props etc. Blood and gore still always freaks me out. D =
• Helping film a horror movie....?! What do you do for a living >:3
• make movies:D it was an indie film i helped out on a couple weeks ago. we filmed in an old abandoned asylum from 5pm to 9am. terrifying.
• do you really? Do you make money filming movies? Are you a director? I want to know more!
• How very awesome and how very creepy! (the asylum part)
• hahaha, I don't really make too much money yet. I'm just starting out. My favorite is writing and editing... I've won some awards in film festivals and such though. Kindof awesome.
• that is awesome! I'm so excited for you, following your dreams and all (i'm assuming its your dreams)!
• it is a large portion of my dreams, yes:) thank you for being so stoked for me!
• no need to thank me! I find it inspiring, refreshing, fantastic, when anyone follows their dreams and really starts to get there. I have a lot of dreams I want to persue, it keeps my motiviation up (and I like the people I like doing what they like!)
• yay! I've always considered movie production one of the few arts that can easily remain untainted by all the bad. Best of luck in all your audio/visual endeavors (:
• Wow terrortoast, your a film maker? Like freelance? I always thought it'd be so cool to make films (write, direct, music editing and such) and I will do it one day I'm sure. That'd be one of my aspirations along with visual artist and illustrator. What sort of films have you done?
• FREELANCE INDEED. here's a few things I've done semi-recently, school projects and such. http://vimeo.com/user3117090/videos :B
• My school computer blocked the link! Damn these restrictions! I'll be able to watch it, sometime next week, I think.. and I'll tell you what I think.
• DO NOT GO TO CHATROULETTE AT SCHOOL. You would probably get detention. Or whatever they call it in Australia.
• you can get expelled, too. especially if your instructor sees phallus.
• No what I meant was the link for terrors film was blocked at school. I wouldn't ever dare try going on chatroulette at school! And yeah, its called detention. The latest rule at our school is if we wear denim 3 times in a semester we get expelled.
• that denim rule is balls.
• yeah, I can't believe that! I wear denim every single day! I wouldn't have anything to wear if I went to that school!
• I think you'd get expelled immediately for going pantsless, Tigers. or made vice-principal. ha, made an inadvertent joke there, VICE principal, like vice squad? and you're pantsless? get it? huh? ha.
• pantsless! I would have to be! ha...ha....ha.......no, I don't get it.
• does your school have uniforms or somethin? is it an expensive private school?
• TT! That is your 500th post!!!!!! Congrats! Post something awesome!
• Would be funny if it wasn't uniforms but you just couldn't have denim.
•
does your school have uniforms or somethin? is it an expensive private school?
Yeh, but we can wear whatever shoes and bag. Its not a private school, public
•
TT! That is your 500th post!!!!!! Congrats! Post something awesome!
Whats the importance of the 500th post on these forums? On the mewforum which I use to post on we found 156 to be the celebratory post (it being a Mew song).
• I'm not sure if there is an importance, Curses. Its just a big number! Also the people who run your school are douches, due to the jean thing. Seriously.
• I know. Wearing skinnies and jackets from home was so comfortable and easy going. I spose I school already has kind of a bad reputation for some reason.. No one seems to like our school : S
• I wonder why....NOT! Its becuase you can't wear denim! They are a bunch of crazies! I literally wear denim EVERY day!
• so, I just had an insane chatroulette experience! some guy asked me to pick a number between 1-10. So I said 7. Then he turned the camera so it was aimed at this fat guy with no shirt on and he started whipping him!! Shock!!!
• oh what the hell I totally missed it. 156 on a mew board? thats genius. 500 is half of one THOUSAND. it is a large number. I'm going to outpost G.O if he doesn't get back here soon.
• I think Chatroulette, though I've never gone on it, has become like a everyperson, twisted, chance, porn site. Don't you think? All I hear about it is naked people and more naked people! Sure sometimes you get some normal people.. Toast, I think whatever number you were gonna choose, that, unfortunately, was gonna happen.
• it is sort of. I've met some really nice decent people on there though. And some funny people. I spend far too much time on there, honestly. Also the guy with the Crack Box who I have yet to talk to again.
