• Well soooorrryy, I just don't believe that spreads make the best head gear.
• but then you have food on your head! Spread whenever you need it!
• That is very true.
• I had lobster quiche for dinner. Pretty fantastic.
• Did you catch the lobster yourself? I have never had lobster quiche.
• no, I didn't. I don't own a lobster boat, but they are from not too far from my home. It is pretty delicious but incredibly rich. Each quiche had two cups of lobster, four cups of milk (they said cream but we opted out), four eggs, and two cups of cheese.
• I'm eating a corned beef sammy. Tastes good, man.
• you could eat any spread off me and it would be delicious. it's true, ask daev about it.
•
you could eat any spread off me and it would be delicious. it's true, ask daev about it.
oh YEAH?????
• ...and the claws come out. SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY DAEV BATTLE 2010, FEATURING THE TOASTY KITTY CAT AND THE SKYYYYYY MISTRESSS. THIS IS ONE FIGHT YOU DON'T WANNA MISS. SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY GET YOUR TICKETS TODAAAAAAAY.
• Hey, how much are you selling tickets for? I might buy some now and scalp 'em later.
• 18.95 at your local Levar Burton's House o' Fixin's. Kids tickets on sale for 10 bucks at the DOOOOOR.
• 10 bucks!? I'll just buy mine now! Ka-ching! Oh, and today I ate 2 pork buns and a salmon sushi. That made me happy. yummy.
• Reading Rainbow Levar Burton, Kunta Kinte Levar Burton, or Geordie LaForge levar Burton's House O' Fixin's? He has 3 different chains. Can we fight at the Reading Rainbow one? No, wait, the Star Trek one, because then we get those free sunglasses/banana hair clips at the door.
• Hope y'all know where to place your bets!
• frickin' sweet picture, TT. Though I have no idea who that guy is or what everyone was just talking about. I just ate some ribs.
• Breakfast - Sultana Bran Afternoon tea - A piece of salmon sushi and a piece of sheperds pie (meat pie with potatoe on top), apple and mangoe juice Dinner - Pumpkin soup! Coke Desert - Chocolate cake (I know I shouldn't but what the hey!)
• Sultana Bran is what we know as Raisin Bran, right? Does it really say Sultana on it? That's cool.
• Well yeah I spose. Rasins and saltanas are the same thing. Sultana Bran. Yeah, thats the name of the cereal. Rasin Bran, hahahahaha. Reminds me of Rasin toast. I don't like Rasin toast. I don't really like sultanas in general but I do think they are good with 'bran' in milk in the mornin'! Mum just made a yummy pad thai. Are any of you vegetarian? I would like to be one when I'm older and living away from home.
• i'm not anymore but I was for three years when I was in high school. Its very important when and if you do it that you balance your diet properly. I'm sure you realize that though, but I didn't really at the time. It's an incredibly healthy and good for you diet if done right. Sometimes I consider doing it again when I have the money and my own place.
• Apparently food combining is important in vegetarianism: beans and rice, for example. I don't mind eating meat when I know from whom it was removed. My chickens' eggs, neighboring piggies, local deer.
• Local deer? Do you eat deer? I've never heard of that before. You can buy Kangaroo in the shop but I am against it. Its almost like kitten sausages in Japan I reckon.
• deer is a common thing to eat in the US of A. We definitely don't eat Kangaroo here. contrary to some people's belief, hunting and killing deer is a good thing. They get overpopulated if you don't. They also taste amazing.
•
Its almost like kitten sausages in Japan I reckon.
You can buy kitten sausages in Japan? O_o So not cool.
• Oh, Canadians are great for wild game. Moose, buffalo, deer, elk. If it's on 4 legs and it's wild some Canadian somewhere is probably scarfing it down their gob. Kitten sausage? For serious?
• Well, I might be wrong, but I heard that in a chain mail or something a few years back. And Japs can be over the top sometimes, killing whales and wotnot..
• Hahahah, if you heard it in a chain mail, it is most definitely fabricated.
• this is the closest thing I could come up with that involved Japanese people eating cats: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://9gag.com/gag/17950/">http://9gag.com/gag/17950/</a><!-- m --> edit;; nevermind. I found a fairly legitimate in nature article that was heartbreaking that I don't dare show to you girls. In hopes of saving your hearts from breaking into a thousand pieces like mine just did.
• Naww, I'm sorry for ever bringing it up Tigers!! Some people can be cruel.
• I'm eating chocolate chip cookies I made last night. Delicious.
• This is in the future, but I WILL BE eating corn and beans and tomatoes and lettuce and squash and tomatillos and peppers and bok choy and ground cherries and plums and strawberries and pears and blueberries and figs from my garden. But today I ate a boring sandwich and some carrots.
• Sounds like you have a really amazing garden Wini. I'm really interested in living in an apartment when I move out and during my 20s, 30s and them, but I'd absolute love to have a garden like yours - blooming all different sorts of exotic fruits all over the place! Good luck to your garden growing all those awesome fruits. Must have taken a long while to plant it all. I want to eat the fruit from Wini's garden! hahaha
• If I didn't think customs would eat it or that it would accidentally get routed to Tasmania, I'd mail you some winifood, curses. Last night I had rice and beans, and I love rice and beans. My body always says HOORAY when it sees a plate of rice and beans. I am blessed with a husband-boyfriend-person who cooks 75% of the time and makes me food that makes my body say HOORAY.
• I love the idea of eating just heaps of unusual foods all the time like figs stuffed with ricotta (something I think you did Wini, and I bought the ingredients today) and chicken and strawberry salad.. This afternoon I made rice pudding. It has some grated lemon in it, nutmeg, vanilla essence, sultanas, and honey. I'm taking some to school tomorrow. I am very proud of myself for making that. <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/razz.gif" alt=":P" title="razz" /><!-- s:P -->
• I was going to make rice pudding, too!!! That would have been so weird and awesome if we both, on opposite sides of the planet, were making rice pudding!!! I said dates with cream cheese but figs with ricotta sounds lovely too. Is the salad made with chicken AND strawberries? Or was it chicken...and strawberry salad?
• That would have been soo funny if you made rice pudding too! I bet it would taste better than mine. http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1057285 Chicken AND strawberry salad together! I want to make it. I post how it is when I try it. <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/razz.gif" alt=":P" title="razz" /><!-- s:P --> But it sounds very tasty. Imagine just strawberry salad.. hmm.. Google result!: http://closetcooking.blogspot.com/2008/06/strawberry-and-feta-salad.html Yuuuuuuuuuuummmmmm *PRINT!*
• My mom makes strawberry & canned mandarin salad all the time! It's healthy and really yummy.
•
http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1057285Chicken AND strawberry salad together!]
It is just about strawberry season here and so I will be making this! Our strawberries are still just flowers but the pick-your-owns are gearing up. Kevin probably won't eat it; he has weird rules about fruit. He's the chef in the house (literally). I'm the dishwasher and food grower. Do you put sultanas (ha!) in your rice pudding?
• YEH! I DO! I asked mum about that sultana and rasin thing. She said rasins are bigger and jucier. (I think that or the other way around) Its only the first time I've made rice pudding.
• I want tacos..
• I'm eating one of my favorite desserts right now, blueberry cheesecake with cookies! Certainly not healthy, but what the heck it's weekend now so do what you want to do right?
• mmmmmmmmm. yes take advantage of your weekend! i'm enjoying a chai tea.
• I'm going to go to a street fair and buy some tri tip from my friend who's working at some booth.
• grilled chicken
• tri tip? is that like tripe? I mean, I'm sure it isn't, but it reminded me of it. Something Thai? Korean? Filipino? Saskatchewanian?
• xD No it's just some form of steak. Nothing weird. I don't know how to describe it. I didn't end up getting it, but I did walk by the booth and she sang a song to me about what they were selling. It was adorable.
• SUKIYAKI
• I'm in Portland, OR, and we took the free trolley around the city and stopped at SUSHI LAND because I was getting cranky. Good choice! It was one of those sushi bars with the stools and revolving sushi mechanism and we ate and ate and it was so good to sit down and immediately grab some inari and put it in my belly. We decided we would move in there. It felt like we ate and talked for hours and it only came to $25 so I left a $5 tip. It was amazing.
• I took my pretend daughter Briana out for her first Indian meal this weekend! I had my favorite, Palak Paneer (also called Saag Paneer), spinach and cheese curds in a mildly spicy creamy sauce, and she had the buffet. She's a recovering bulimic so she ate like two tablespoons of each thing, but she did sample them all! She did NOT like the raita or the mint chutney but like the chicken korma and the nan dipped in tamarind sauce. Also, when I was in portland with Ivan ( <!-- s:heart: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/heart.gif" alt="" title="heart" /><!-- s:heart: --> ) we went to a roto-sushi place, the real businessmen's sushi bar where the sushi is on a conveyor belt and you snag what you wants and pile up the plates. It's such instant gratification because I was starving and sat down, grabbed a plate of inari and snarfed it. YAY wow. Inari are the sweet tofu-paper wrapped rice footballs.
• I'm eating those cookies you get on Delta flights. I found them at my grocery store and have literally attacked them
