that's right. Anime. Do you watch it, what are your favorites or do you just HATE all of it?! I personally love some of it and hate some of it. My favorites are:::: Mushishi, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Death Note, Wolf's Rain, Trigun, FLCL, Haibane Renmei, Afro Samurai, and I think some are missing. Let's talk about it!

• I used to love anime! Actually, I never really watched much but I read a lot of manga. I haven't much in the past few years though. I miss it.
• I've only seen Howl's Moving Castle (which also used to be my favorite book, I haven't read it since 5th grade though) and Ponyo. And Kiki's Delivery Service which I love. Ponyo was adorable but what was up with the ending??
• haha ponyo was good but not up to par with the others. Howls is my favorite, check out spirited away, it will blow your mind. and princess mononoke.
• I've seen Grave of the Fireflies and it might be one of the most depressing movies i've ever seen. what about AKIRA and Ghost in the Shell (the movie)?
• oh god i know it is heart wrenching. i felt a little less attached being an only child and never knowing that "sibling" bond. i haven't seen either of those. YET.
• DO IT! Classics. Ghost in the Shell is ultimately better (Just the first movie!) But, you have to take into consideration, AKIRA is a movie adaptation of a set of Graphic Novels, 6 actually, that were all over 200 pages each (they went up to like...500 or more I think). So to fit that all into an hour and a half long (or however long) movie means a lot has to be taken out. Its still a classic though and must be seen!
• I'm waiting for that anime about Buddha.
• is that a real thing or are you just hoping they make one? buddah is awesome.
• I used to watch anime quite a bit a few years ago, the ones I've liked: FLCL , Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost In The Shell (everything), Samurai Shamploo, Cowboy Bebop , Millennium Actress, and a few others I can't remember.
• ah sweet, those are some of my favorites too, though I haven't seen Neon Genesis. I've never heard of Millennium Actress.
• I need to get on ghost in the shell. i hear it's fantastic.
• well it was a ground breaking anime! So was the graphic novel! The artwork is incredible along with the story line. I'm not a huge fan of the series but the first movie was amazing. seriously, you do!
• My friend Darien is very into Death Note..."I'll take a potato chip....and EAT IT" I really prefer the manga, though...a self-diagnosed readophile.
• I do love manga. Death Note; I wanted to hate it so badly when I first watched it but I couldn't. Its too incredibly smart with fantastic characters. I haven't been able to watch any other anime since seeing that. Its like my Animal Collective of anime. Because I couldn't listen to another band for months after hearing AnCo.
• welcome! You should go post in the introduction section so we all can say welcome! And you could tell us a little something about yourself. I haven't seen Bleach either and have heard great things about it. I also rarely have the time to watch tv/anime.
• I hated Death Note, it was so pretentious and pompous. It just went on and on, and they just pulled so much crap out of their ass to fill it. I never read the manga, nor would I ever. Which actually makes me recall Gantz, now that's one that I liked, although the manga suffers from randomness (as do most of them I presume). I stopped reading at Ch 300 something, I'll pick it up in a few years when it's over, hopefully. Millennium Actress is a film, with a soundtrack from the godly Susumu Hirasawa.
• i'll have to check those out. I'm kinda bummed that you hated Death Note but I can understand why. I thought it sucked balls after the twenty-two episode or whatever when the plot crashed (you know what I mean.)
• My fav anime is DeathNote. L RULES!!!!!!!!!
• kids are for cartoons!
