Complete Animal Collective Song List

 • Are you listing every song or every version of every song? If it's the former, which I'm guessing it isn't because I saw tikwid and tiquid on the same list, then there should a lot less songs. But if it's the latter then surely every song or name should be in one big list. If it is both then maybe there is a better system you could use? Perhaps bullet points under the studio or 'definitive' version of the song. eg (and I gotta admit I don't totally know how to do this, would the list thing work? Ok it does): Street Flash Summertime Clothes

(Dam-Funk Remix)[/*:m]
(L.D Remix)[/*:m]
(Zomby's Analog Lego Mix)[/*:m]
Bear Hug[/*:m]
Nowhere To Go[/*:m]
Walk Around With You [/*:m][/list:u] Surfer's Hymn - Panda Bear

(Single Version)[/*:m]
(Actress Primitive Pattern Remix)[/*:m]
(Governor's Island Version)[/*:m][/list:u] Swan Sweet Road or just Street Flash Summertime Clothes
(Dam-Funk Remix) (L.D Remix) (Zomby's Analog Lego Mix) Bear Hug Nowhere To Go Walk Around With You [/list:u] Surfer's Hymn - Panda Bear
(Single Version) (Actress Primitive Pattern Remix) (Governor's Island Version)[/list:u] Swan Sweet Road Reason being is I don't think it's totally clear what it's a list of. I wouldn't really count, say, a remix or a different version of a song as its own song any more than I would a live version with a different name. For instance if the Stevie Wonder version of Purple Bottle is its own song then I think Big Big Beat and BBB should be too. Using sub-lists would be a good way to distinguish between the actual song and different versions.
 • Otherwise nice work; thorough.
 • Ah, you're right, it is the former. The Tiquid was a mistake on my part. I put the third list on the bottom for reference to old names because I don't want them to be on the large list - it would just get way too big! I want the long list to be like a checklist sort of thing, so that you can just look at your iTunes and see if they match up. I like your idea though, we'll see what I can do. I think you might be confused because I included the Live at Governor's Island thing. The list is only for studio releases (and for live songs that never made it to the studio). For example, the Stevie Wonder Purple Bottle actually was released as a 7" song, so I would count that differently than the Purple Bottle from Feels. And the Panda Bear Governor's Island set was officially released by Paw Tracks with Tomboy.
 • Fair enough. I guess you see what I mean though, the benefit of having a definitive song list as opposed to a list of studio released songs and a list of alternate titles. I just say that because if you look at the people on this site, it's highly likely that everyone has a number of bootlegs to which they'd give the same deference as they would different studio versions. I know the Stevie Wonder version is it's own single - I have it. But it's still "The Purple Bottle", y'know? Personally I'm a fan of the live "House" as opposed to My Girls on MPP. Point being it doesn't matter if it's studio or not - they're all AC recordings in their own right. The fact that you've even included all those names here is testament to that. Maybe if you don't want to have all the bootleg title you could still do sub-lists for the actual released material, like Purple Bottle with it's alternate Stevie version. Then it would be a proper song list not just a recording list. I don't want to take away from what you've already done here, I'm just trying to help.
 • Okay I see what you mean. Nice sig pic btw.
 •
Personally I'm a fan of the live "House" as opposed to My Girls on MPP.
i'm more of a Material Things type of dude!

 • 1977 is also STAR WARS! the irish band ASH named their first proper album after said year in honor of being fans of the film!
 • Nice. For New Years '78, the Dead played a recording of the Star Wars theme during the countdown into Sugar Mag for the new year, if I'm not mistaken. What a great time, the late 70s. Abundant polyester.
 • Songs from the new material ought to be added when you get a chance, Mooncanine. They're unofficial names, but this is what everyone's using on bootlegs. Up to you whether you want to wait until the studio release to add them or just revise them when it happens. A Long Time Ago Change Frights I'd Rather Knock You Down Little Kid Mercury Stop Thinking Take This Weight Your Choice
