• Ahhh incredible! Great find!
• THESE ARE THE SONIC BOOM MIXES AS WELL!!!! I LOVE THIS VERSION OF YOU CAN COUNT ON ME!!!!!!!
• woah, slow motion is really really really good too!
• I thought it was funny when he was too embarrassed to emulate the guitar sound in Slow Motion
• he seems to be a painfully shy guy when he's not playing music, but he makes some really funny jokes here like when he talked about buying nevermind and saying he wishes he was zomby (i do too)
• NPR WILL BE STREAMING ALL OF TOMBOY APRIL 4TH!!!
•
I LOVE THIS VERSION OF YOU CAN COUNT ON ME!!!!!!!
oh god yes
• oh and the slow motion mix i love it even more i'm so excited right now
• I have just listened to this, i loved it, and i loved all his music choices, i was never into electronic music, but i will investigate those bands. So, AC are rehearsing for new material to play live? No record of new album then?
• we know very little of what they're doing right now other than that they're in Baltimore rehearsing. That may mean recording, nobody really knows. I think time will tell after the tour starts up
• They've mostly likely been recording since January.
• Really? I think they're practicing and writing songs for the tour. THEN they'll record. That's what they usually do.
• I bet they're just working on their plans for elephant hats. They're gonna be a hit.
• I thought I heard Dave (Portner, not forum Dave!) say that they would record first and then play live just to see how it goes. Maybe I misheard him. Either way, we are going to see new material very soon

• Oh. I thought they toured to see what worked when they played it live with a crowd. And THEN they recorded those tracks. I thought I remembered hearing him say this, but I do know he's said that they like to record how they would play it live. Or something along those lines. I'm paraphrasing, cats cradle.
• Yeah, that's what they've always done. I think they wanted to mix it up a bit this time, ya know! Plus they all have families and stuff right now in different parts of the world, and I think they have to change the system around a bit
• I think this way will be great. I can't wait until their new shows are recorded and hopefully posted on the interweb. Them mixing it up has never let me down before.
• I'm just building my hopes up unrealistically high so that I'm super let down when it comes out. Wait...
• Oh no no no, Dave. I don't think you'll be let down. I don't think they'd go on tour unless they knew they were ready and had a good set. I'm so excited to hear new stuff.
• I was half-kidding, but I certainly hope you're right. Frankly, I just don't know how long they can go on topping themselves with each release.
• Hmm... http://pitchfork.com/features/interview ... anda-bear/ I guess they haven't been recording, just writing. Cool. Can't wait to see what they are doing.... AHHH! And also Pitchfork posted their review already, not sure what I think of it... • Dave, I agree with you. I'm a bit worried because it just doesn't seem possible to continue to get better with each album/performance. But they somehow do it! That's the mystery and joy of the Collective. And MoonDog, what is that on a scale of? Eleven out of what? I'll be a reading that right now. Thank you. I love this family.
• Panda Bear - "Not into recording, but we've all been in Baltimore working on songs and getting a live set together since January. There are no plans to record-- nothing as concrete as going into a studio-- but we've got a couple of shows coming up in April, and we've been working on a live set for those.".... Oh, I hope they make plans to make a studio album soon! That'd be really sad to see a last show of theirs.

• Hah. That review's a joke Sprit. Pitchfork only rates out of 10. They haven't scored Tomboy yet.
• Well, I'm not really worried about them dropping off. If it happens, then I've already gotten several days of great music out of this. If they make something else new and exciting, even better. I just don't think people can be endlessly creative. Some manage to keep the creative flame alive for a very long time, however.
• To be honest guys, I think they're just having fun chilling out and bro'ing it up. They're getting reaquainted from not being around each other for a while. With all the stuff Avey's had to endure, he's probably been feeling alot better having his brothers around and writing/rehearsing for their live performances. I don't think we'll see anything new soon album-wise but as far as new material, I'm sure they got some up their sleeves. I'd figure trading tapes over long distances gets old after a while. It's refreshing to have others there to feed/bounce ideas off of as opposed to solitude. Avey and Panda for the most part both spent time writing/recording their separate albums in solitude and now that they're back together in their hometown I'm sure it feels right, like the good ol' days. Especially after each of them writing sample laden/very technical albums I figure just jammin' out as a band is a different experience. Plus I'd imagine both have left overs from Down There and Tomboy that will probably be reworked to fit within AnCo somehow. Below are interviews with Panda circa post Person Pitch/ pre ODDSAC and Avey Tare post Down There. There's also a good Rolling Stone article I read on Tomboy a while back. • No doubt they're working on something new. Panda talks about it near the end of his article. I wouldn't expect a new album before 2012 (late this year at the latest), but we might get some new stuff being tried out in live shows a little sooner than that. Guess we'll see. For now, I'm exploring some new jazz since I need a break from listening to the music I know inside out. Edit: Not article, interview. Sorry.
• They are "bro'ing it up" AND making new show material! I am so excited for it! I assume early 2012 for a new AnCo album. That'd be MY guess. But for now, I am happy with where it is all headed. mmm, yes please. And thank you for these interviews! I'm going to read them right meow. I love this site and all of you.
• i love you too
• This site is amazing. Everyone's family.
• i'm gonna dj at the end of the worrrld!
