One day G.O. will be Maximum Leader of the Waffle Galaxy (that's my second awesome suggestion in two days. You guys are really lucky to be witnessing these.)
"]one day this board will be the 28th largest on the entire internet and people will look back at these early years as THE BEGIN
i was there
I suggest that we make a subforum for people's music projects. I love talking about bands but find it hard to really want to when our audible section is swamped with other people's music. I don't mean to demean what they make because we certainly have some great musicians here on this forum but I think it'd just make it well organized and make some of us less overwhelmed when we visit the audible forum.
I'll second that, Tigers. At this point Audible has become so inundated by personal (non-professional) music projects that they deserve their own subforum.
If you look at the evidence you will see that on the first page of Audible there are 12 posts about known artists and 5 about as-of-yet unknown artists. That does not an inundation make. I do hear what you are saying and I am sure hateradio will take it under consideration.
i don't think it needs its own forum [we have enough already!]
i still say just one POST YOUR OWN MUSIC thread
would fix it all!
and if someone makes a new thread the post can just be moved there... if they didn't know how it worked / chose to go against it
It just feels like it's inundated. Maybe it's because there are many threads about currently unknown artists, while this mass of threads serves a surprisingly small group of people. Maybe I'm totally wrong -- I haven't counted. But I'm on the wagon now, and I can't get off.
Do we have someone actively moderating this board. Because there's a couple people here that I'm kind of not sure they're real people at all!
Yes, semi-actively.
Mark them. I shall hear the psychic shrieks.
I updated the YouTube code. It'll now only work if people use an 11-character YouTube ID, since there are so many different YouTube URLs now.
Example:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href=""> m -->
youtu.be/wyvtYP_ZLC0?hd=1
or
youtube.com/watch?v=wyvtYP_ZLC0?hd=1
The ID is the 11 characters following the youtu.be/ or watch?v= part.
You would write this:

To get this result:

What I really want to do is incorporate my YouTube Me Again! script on this site, but it doesn't work with IE8 and below. It does work on IE9 but IE9 has a bug with [inlinecode]removeChild()[/inlinecode]. I hate IE. <!-- s:evil: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/evil.gif" alt="" title="evil" /><!-- s:evil: -->
I use Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, so it'd be fine with me. Maybe a poll should be started in order to determine what browsers people use? I imagine a lot of people avoid using IE. I'll post it in vocal.
I need a sad panda avatar. That makes me a saaaaaaad panda.
But there have been stretches during which I have no avatar. Havatar! This seems to be one of those. At least until I can think of something that fits my frame of mind.
Quick, David! I suggest that you take this Avatar!

that movie ruined the word Avatar!
<!-- s>__< --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/mad.gif" alt=">__<" title="mad" /><!-- s>__< -->
though now i'm imagining a parody version of it called AveyTare but i REALLY don't want to imagine dave as one of those creatures (either dave!)
Alright, I've changed the reply box editor. Instead of text buttons, images are shown.
Additionally, I wrote a small script to implement keyboard shortcuts.
CTRL + B =
CTRL + I =
CTRL + U =
CTRL + N =
CTRL + M = [img][/img]
CTRL + J =

CTRL + L =

CTRL + K =

I'll work to add these on the quick reply box soon.
