edited August 2011 in Animal Tracks
Have they ever played it live? Its my favorite anco song, so an alternate version would make me happy! <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile-1.gif" alt=":)" title=":)" /><!-- s:) -->

• They never played it live because it's about Kría. That's also why we won't hear any Down There played live.
• They "lost the samples".
• For some albums, I don't actually know which, they did indeed lose the samples when Dave's car got broken into when he was moving.
• I can't imagine how it must have felt to have all that stuff stolen. People can be pure evil sometimes. I recently read about the band Portugal. The Man having a whole trailer full of their equipment stolen. That has to feel tragic. As for AC though, it was nice to see them bring Taste into their live show this summer. I thought I read awhile back that they couldn't play that song live due to lost samples etc. I could be confusing that with Bluish though.
• For sure, Wini. I'd forgotten about that. Totally, Dan. Wouldn't it suck to not only have your gear stolen but your recordings, too? Motherfuckers. Also, bringing the Tasty games back was absolutely fantastic. They may have used different samples than those on the album... I can't remember, even though I was at one of the shows where they played it. I know it sounded really different from the album version.
• I thought all the stolen stuff was HCTI-Danse period? They mention it in their interview on the Spinning on Air thing. Or did stuff get stolen again?

I remember seeing or reading an interview where they were asked about playing certain songs live, and I'm pretty sure they said that a lot of them had either been lost or written over.

• I've always assumed it was Avey. Just by listening to the voice. But it can pretty hard sometimes so I don't know.
• It's definitely an Avey song. He always pumps out the love songs that put romantics to shame. For example: all of Feels. all Avey. all love songs.
• Panda Bear's secret must exist in his grocery sack!
• I can't listen to Bluish, makes my heart ache.

• Yep, Feels is all Avey! But Panda's backups are incredible. A Panda love song would be nice, though. Maybe we'll get one in the future. ^^
• You maybe could call my girls a love song... maybe....
• Rabies!
• I remember reading in an interview that they lost the cord for the machine that they need to find the song, so they couldn't play it, but they found it and they were going to start doing it live. But it was a long time ago and they never did.
• I really think they don't want to play it live because of the whole Avey-Kría thing. But that's just me.
• Seems very likely that that's the case M.D., whether they have the samples or cords or not.
•
M.D.
Brilliant.
• I concur, Doc.
• Yay! A nickname for MoonDog other than MoonDoggy! DOC!
• Moondog, M.D.
• hello doctor doggles! WE HAVE YOUR PEN but that might be expensive!
