How did/does Animal Collective use them live? It's been bugging me for a month now. I really want to know. Anybody who knows please reply thanks <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

  • Mini Discs? I didnt know they did, if they did at any point it would have been pre-Feels era, back when Geo was the only one using samples, im not exactly sure what equip he used before he picked up samplers, but i know they were some kind of tapes, perhaps mini dics. Avey Tare might use Mini Discs for a few pre-recorded samples, but hardly. I know Geo still uses a 404, and as of late Panda has upgraded to dual Sp-555's.

  • i saw on the 20th how panda bear does his samples, which i thought was strange. Instead of having say 4 or 5 samples ready to be played, he has every single sample already engaged and looping, and somehow uses a mixer to control the direction of the samples, so he has almost all the songs ready to go, and just has them go in and how for each song.
  • hmm, i generally just get up onstage, shave my legs, and call it a day.
  • i still don't get it!
